Meet Anna and her love for techno!

We continue on our journey to meet the enthusiastic Growers of our community – this time we speak to Anna, who loves gardening as much as a good house party!

What is your biggest passion?
Gardening, botanising, mushroom foraging, electronic music.

Why do you want to farm or why do you already do it?
I used to grow food and flowers with my family as a child and I have the skills (I also have a degree in landscape architecture and a PhD in botany) but I haven’t had much opportunity as I have moved a lot in the last 10 years. I had an allotment last year in England and really loved growing my own food again. I enjoy the process but it is also important to me that I can avoid plastic packaging by growing stuff myself. This was my first summer in Sweden and I started with some lettuce and herbs on my balcony. It might not seem like much but I appropriated some cowpats from a field in Mölndal to avoid buying plastic-packaged compost. If that does not prove my dedication then I don’t know what does 😉 I am planning to stay in Gothenburg long term so would like to get to know other growers.

How does your dream farm and farming partner look like?
Someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and enjoys growing and learning. Experience does not matter much as long as the knack and enthusiasm are there. If they know a good techno/house party also, that’s a bonus 🙂
